An acquaintance of 79 has been having trouble getting insured for a Bullet, Is this normal at this age? Anybody got experience of this? What would be likely to be the annual price? Thanks, Chris

Not know anyone refused insurance just because of there age I thought that was against the law now. But there is company's like Saga they do specialize in over 60s motorcycle insurance. I Dont know the cost though its worth inquiring.

Based on my father's experience with his car insurance I wouldn't recommend SAGA. He saved £500 and paid 1/3 of SAGA's renewal premium by switching to LV. They had no problem accepting new business from an 80 year old. Not sure if they do bike insurance but worth a go.

Although not age related, my wife just renewed her car insurance. She was through Tesco and was quoted over £400 to renew. Her quote to get first time policy last year was about £240! We went on Go Compare and got same cover for £219 from LV. I will trythem next time too, as I am through Tesco also.
