Papa we all know how dodgy Enfield motors are, couldn't expect to get to the other end of the paddock in the same day without 5 break downs, little diesel is the only way to go when speed doesn't matter

Apart from a Deutz aircooled engine, no air cooled engine is any good for an agricultural purpose.

Try explaining that to the Indians

These machines are positively state-of-the-art.

Believe it or not, these trucks are actually manufactured at a local "factory" near Agra.
Engines are a modern Lister copy.

PeteF, I don't need to go to India to know about alternative uses for parts "wombled" from scrapyards and similar, and making things out of them the original designers never thought of. I have been doing that myself for the last 55 years.
As I suspect at least one other contributor to this forum has.
