As many may know I am really a "watcher" on here as i don't have an Enfield, but I do like to help with my knowledge of engineering and classic bikes wherever I can. I have been very quiet of late, however I am pleased to see that "Normality" has been resumed to the message board. What do I see when I return today from the Christmas festivities......Sprag Clutch Failure, Kick Starters Misbehaving, Front Brake Problems, Oil Pump Issues and Fork Oil Leaks. All we need now is somebody to report that they have yellow or silver metal deposits in their oil and all will be back to normal. The world will have returned to its correct axis and my faith in old or classic bikes will have been fully restored. I hope that everybody had a great christmas and that you all have a Happy and Prosperous New Year.........Oh yes I nearly forgot to add, my tongue was very firmly inserted in my cheek when I wrote this. Happy motorcycling in 2015.

Hi Mike, hope you are feeling better this year. Funny you should mention the sprag saga, many years ago during the Christmas break things were very quiet on our Club forum so I thought I would stir things up a bit and I started on about the "Sprag". Forum went into a meltdown for a week till eventually the Club Pres had to intervene and say "enough is enough, no more sprag talk" I had to apologize to Bill admitting I started it because things were a bit quiet. Got a lot of laughs out of it, some people get so emotional about silly things. lol

Leon, down here in Vic things are also quiet, as far as I know there is only one Cast Iron being used as a commuter bike and that has all the good bits in it including a longstroke crank. Apart from that I think they are only being used on the odd occasion, not even on weekends any more. I only ride my Inter once a month to the meetings, but we had 45 people attend our Christmas dinner, I think we are just becoming a social club where we can sit around together, knowing that in some part of our life we have all suffered an Enfield disaster, I think the term is bonding
