There we go, excellent.

Another tip, to get the picture 'out of the text' add the following before and after the picture.

It does look well, just a pity it wont perform as well as it looks, that is unless he has also tuned the motor to match the look.

If tuning parts become available before I get bored with the bike it may get some cams, valves, Amal Carb etc, then it may get within 30mph of my 69 Thruxton Bonny.
This is just my town bike, the 40 T rear sprocket gets it away from the lights well, and I am not really bothered about top end , I have an 1198 Ducati in the Garage.

Sounds like you would be spending a lot to get just a bit more, I have fitted the Motad can & the K&N filter but opened up the airbox inlet a bit more also & I have also put a 40T rear sprocket on which lowers the gearing to get it going quicker,I can also still get 90mph & get there a bit quicker now.
Personaly I would like to try a Hitchcock's bike with the full performance kit on it first, before shelling out £700.00 plus

Hi Lewis
I know what you mean, it was you that gave me the idea for the 40T sprocket, and I really am surprised that it does make a real difference , thanks for the tip.
I really am surprised how long it is taking to get the tuning kit on the market, I think a big improvement with the GT would come from shedding some weight, but all in all it's a nice bike to ride, and I get a lot of comments on what a great job I have done, from people who think its a re build 1966 bike.

Hi Mr Jones

I am happy you are happy with the 40T.
looking at Hitchcock's webpage on the Tuning kits it looks like they are now available ? I would love to know what a difference it makes with this kit on, anyone fitting it give us the feedback.

I have a photo of a 1966 RE 250GT with a full red/white fairing on it it looks great, I would pop it on here but like you I would struggle to attach it,I have tried before & ran out of patience.

all the best
Lewis
