a bit of a rhyme

'Twas Christmas day in the workshop, the snow lay all around.
I'd fitted a new silencer, to give a racy sound.
I thought , now while I'm at it, I'll polish up the chrome,
But barely was this started , Hark! a ringing from the phone.
The wife was on the other end. "Stop fiddling with that bullet.
For we've a turkey to prepare, not just some scrawny pullet.
There's spuds to peel and brussels sprouts , now you don't think I'm bitchin'.
Put down the Solvol Autosol , and help out in the kitchen.
I dimmed the light and locked the door and hurried back to house.
Another bike may come my way, but not another spouse.
