Proceed with caution said the sign,
I'd wrote it on that bike of mine.
Foot pressing down on starter pedal,
follow procedures. Do not meddle.
Bring piston up to TDC,
and it will start so easily.
Use decompressor, hear the wheeze,
nows the time to turn the keys.
On with petrol, engage choke,
a good strong swing, not just a poke.
Repeat this sequence as required,
until I hear the engines fired.
I wheeled the Bullet from the shed,
and swiftly down the road I sped.

Through market town and countryside
I took my bullet for a ride.
The narrow "B" roads much enjoyed,
though motorways I did avoid.
Having due respect for clutch
try not to change the gears too much.
Let each consecutive cog engage,
Or end up in a mighty rage.
And have regard for fifties brakes,
you know by now they're no great shakes.
Stop often to enjoy the view,
converse with folk who talk to you.
"My dad had one like that" they'll say,
"But that was way back , in the day."

Oh yes!

Actually, that is really good. Tells a story for starting to riding, and the facts are right. Neat!
