The Musket, a V-Twin bullet conversion.

Received an email for this today, Gobsmacked! just had to share.

(As others seem to say:- I am not affiliated with this guy or making any money from this, nor have I stroked his cat if he has one, or thrown soot over him on new years eve.)

There are various configurations, this one being the '998' with pipe each side.

He does DIY kits, or will do the work for you, but is based in the USA which can be quite a ride for some of the guys here.

It says that the engine uses standard 500 or 350 top ends, depending on the current batch. The web site is very interesting with real engineering!

So who is going to start knocking up a decent 700cc ish parallel twin then?

That would be interesting.

Scaly, we've been watching the Musket for several years, Anniket's determination and perseverance are an inspiration to us all, it's a super bike and I wish him luck. However, it remains to be seen how many he sells, previous attempts at v-twin Enfields have not been happy. And as for the parallel twin idea, please don't poke that one with a stick, the swarm has only just died down after the last one! Just watch how many posts this subject will get, every dreamer with short arms and long pockets will be here soon... (ducks for cover)

Last time I was over there I think there were 4 unassembled Carberry motors sitting around gathering dust

I suspect RE would sell as many v-twins as they could make but I doubt it will happen. As for a parallel vibrator, I think Triumph and Kawasaki have that sorted. There is not much that would make me buy an Indian Enfield one unless it was a departure from the norm, ie a smaller motor, perhaps a 350cc, maybe bevel drive OHC, desmodromic valves...
