Because it was dry last night and its coming off the road soon I took the electra X to work. On the way in it was into a strong headwind and the bike struggled to maintain 50mph. This morning what a difference , I was using so little throttle I don't think it used any fuel I rolled off the throttle and it didn't slow down the tail wing was so strong. Well this week its off the road to get the seat re-upholstered and maybe a paint job. I am going to miss riding it so much.
So rise safe everyone
Cheers Dave

That's lovely, and I know how much you can miss a bike when not riding it.

I don't suppose you have a short vid of you on the bike? Only I've never seen one working.

Hi again scaly. Im starting negotiations with the other half to get a 7-10 day pass to hit europe on it .If I pull it off I may have to come and knock on your door. At least you will believe it runs. Actually it starts better than the K1200lt I had if it stands for a month.

7-10 day pass? you mean for the ferry?

great! Nods, 22580, France, about 25 miles from swiss border!

Switzerland will want you to buy a vignette sticker which is a yearly motorway pass. either pay about 40 swiss franks (34 euros), or avoid the motorway system. If you enter swissel-land on a motorway, you have to pay it. I don't use the motorways on my EFI, so don't pay, as I enter the country on a standard secondary road. Tax link below

Have a good time, and enjoy. Miss the winter out though, unless you are confident on ice.
