Just to let 535GT owners know that if they are considering ordering the "Continental GT" Decal from our hosts for your side panels, you will not get a Quality vinyl Decal like the factory one on the tank, its a transfer not vinyl. I am very disappointed in the quality & I know when cleaning the bike eventually the decal will wear off, especially at the edges & around the GT-Garland. Cost of decals £2 each, But when you include VAT & Postage it jumps to £7.80. this would be acceptable if they were the same as factory tank decals.

For eight quid delivered if you avoid aggressive cleaning it is not a bad deal surely? You could spend £300 and have the takn repainted and the decal lacquered.

Maybe give the tank in a good coat of "liquid diamond" type polish? That would protect the decal and paintwork well enough.
And no more washing with anything too abrasive.

The decal I am talking about is for the side panels, but its the same design as the original factory one on the tank, & I have to say I thought bit would be the same full Vinyl material as the factory Decal. Eddie The problem with the one on Hitchcock's website is the edges, I actually had done what you had suggested using " Autoglym Gold Extra Gloss Protection" but the problem is the cloth catches the sharp rough edges of the decal.
just thought I would make others aware,if I had known I would not have bought this product, I would rather have paid a bit more for the real thing.
