I would like to thank the ES Bullet rider who I met at Rivington on Sunday morning. He was a tall gentleman with a recently acquired Enfield and we had a brief chat just as I was leaving having had my bacon buttie. Next time we met I was lying in the road having hit an Audi car that over-braked when a dog ran into the road in front of it. Bullet Stoppers couldn't match the Audi brakes. My fault, I ran into the cars rear bumper. Anyway he helped pick up the bike and bits, turned off the petrol etc and made the bike safe. Many thanks again. I was taken to Bolton Royal Hospt. and after excellent treatment was discharged bruised and battered later in the day. The bike has bent forks and other frontend damage, fairing screen smashed and panniers scratched. Carole Nash have been fantastic, recovered bike to my home and dispatched an engineer to assess claim. I am allowed to repair the bike myself and the insurance co. will pay for the parts....result! ( I would not be a happy bunny if the bike had to be repaired by an unknown workshop). Once again many thanks if you read this. Ian
