Few thousand bikes starting 11.30am today.

Anybody else going on an enfield?

Yep - if it's not peeing down! Joining at Marley Head about 12.00. I peel off in Plymouth and take the old Kingsbridge Road back home, otherwise you're funnelled onto the Hoe - trapped!

Phew well that was good for a giggle, heavens opened bang on 11.30 as we took off..

I'd forgotten how much rain can sting the face even at 50mph and the joys of rain water running back over the tank into the crutch area...

Still all in a good cause for charity and now i'm back in the comfy chair with dry clothes on, looking at the number 20 metal badge they give you for taking part..

Glad you enjoyed it - you're made of sterner stuff than me! I live a couple of miles from Marley Head and was just leaving when the heavens did indeed open! I hung around in the shed until the worst of it passed, then off I went. When I got to the roundabout there were just a few stragglers, but I tagged along as far as Ivybridge and called it quits. Didn't quite make it home before getting a soaking as another lot fell on Dartington. Bit of a damp squib. Shame. It's a good lark on a sunny day.
