Some may recall that I organise an event called MadMikes Gathering. The second one this year will be on Sunday 21st September. The venue is The Bulls Head public House at Leicester Forest West. It is actually on the A47 and is 3 miles north of Mallory Park if you are heading north towards Leicester. (It is also 3 miles north of Mallory Park if you are heading south out of Leicester). Start time is about 11:00am. All sorts of classic bikes and their undoubtedly classic riders will hopefully be there. You are all invited to come and meet the gathered throng, and remember to introduce yourself. Please bring your Enfield, ancient or modern, or any other classic. The venue is a country pub with first class Sunday lunches, so you can safely bring your wife or girlfriend, or both if you want to. There are no charges, no prizes and definitely no attitudes. Good weather has been arranged. Everybody welcome. i look forward to seeing you there.

Should have the 1980 750 TR7 in fine fettle by then----if not then it'll be the 1975 GL1000 Goldwing..

Blimey boys this just won't do at all. My message has been relegated to Division 2, sorry page 2. Just not good enough. Back to the top we go, for a short while undoubtedly. All in the interests of keeping peoples aware of the next MadMikes Gathering. I hope to see you all there.

Hi, As you know I am a complete novice with Enfields, mine is 2005 Electra, "HARRYtheENFIELD". We live in North Wales and will be attending. It will be our first long run. Should be fun as my wife has only ridden pillion once in her life.

Hey guys, can we arrange a list of Enfield owners who live on route between N.Wales and Leicester to be posted on here ??............Might be helpful ?/.... Just saying, that's all !

EDIT}-- hey MALC, I've two iron barrelled bikes both being off the road with engine probs at the moment..(one Big end u/s and one Small end u/s )...........but don't let that put you off !!....... Would you like to ride along with myself and a couple of others on the day ??......Be happy to meet-up at a place convenient to you ( Lynne's Raven Cafe' at Whitchurh for Breakfast perhaps ??)..........then Tea on the return run at The Bikers Cafe, Quatford........
