I bought a pair of these jeans a week or two ago, they are good quality, I've no complaints at all. I also bought the protective inserts it's a must really especially if your bones are old. The jeans are quite thick and heavy but that is to be expected I would say

I also fancy a pair, but as Stephen rightly points out every waist size has 32 inch inside leg. That wouldn't normally be a problem for somebody like me with Ducks Diseaes, as I would simply have the bottom of the jeans trimmed.......however they do make a great play on the fact that this fancy material is , supposedly, nearly impossible to cut with a knife or with scissors. I can get 29 or 30 inch inside leg jeans and trousers, including leather ones. Indeed some leather ones have the bottoms unfinished to allow cutting to length. Would like to buy but it seems that anybody with short lrgs is not catered for. Shame.

Luckily for me 32 inch inside leg should be ok.

As i live within riding / driving distance of our hosts i may well pop in and try on a pair before i buy.

Thanks for the posts.

Yes - this is getting really arcane.... the manufacturers of the jeans do make other leg lengths as you'd expect - I didn't order a pair because I'd like to try them on 1st. And it seems a bit odd to stock 1 leg length. I did ask Hitchcocks and they said 'yes that's correct - they are all 32"' - which is bit odd I'd say.

Don't guy cheap jeans, the Kevlar/Cordora quality can vary widely and you won't know it until your sliding along the road, you've only got 1 pair of legs, look after them!

I've already got a pair of J & S bike jeans and a pair of Hood bike jeans and as I now prefer denim to leather I thought I'd try our host's as for the price they seem to be as good (if not better) than anything on the market.I don't think I'd like to trust an unbranded make just in case as Bertie says.
