Early Sat-Nav system?

What is this I keep seeing lately in adverts on fleabay? Could it be some early homing system to be used to keep you and your bike dry if an unexpected storm comes up?

It seems to work by taking you to a large farm building that you can wait in until the storm is over.

I cannot find any details of the system, only it's name, which is always in the fleabay title to announce that the bike has the system fitted.

A typical listing of this type with the system title would say... "Rare 1959 350 Bullet, BARN FIND"

My question is, "How does this 'barn find' system work?"

Oh dear, silly me.

A friend tells me that 'barn find' indicated a motorcycle that was found in a barn!

(Strange though... They didn't look anything like this...)

Just bought a new agricultural sat nav, specially designed for farmers; I turn it on and it says,
"at the end of the field, turn around...."
"at the end of the field, turn around...."
"at the end of the field, turn around...."
"at the end of the field, turn around...."
