Clandestine Communications
Hi all,
Thunderbolt my EFI Woodsman is now kitted out for emergency power and communications, God bless that Lithium-ion Battery.
AS mentioned elsewhere, the bloody foresters went through the telephone lines with their mobile crane again, as they do every year.
Wearing full Multi Terrain Pattern Camouflage, we slide quietly down to the break in the wires, connect the router to the remains of the snapped wire by a pair of crocodile clips, connect the router to Thunderbolt's 12V power supply and then get my mac book out of my backpack and use the wireless system in the usual way.
There is a long piece of wire, leading to 'Base camp' where thunderbolt and myself, plus friends from the house are huddled under a double camo basher (tent).
See? NEVER underestimate an ex signaller and scalyback!
If it wasn't for the possible consequences, I would send a photo!
Operation 'connect' was commenced, due to the french phone service saying something about 'a week' before they would even send somebody to laugh at it!
How many other RE Bullets done that over history? Probably more than we know!
