A mnemonic is where the letters stand for words, used in the army a lot, like for a fire order we used CLAP (Clear, Loud, As an order, with Pauses)



Today, my RE chums, We reverse this and try to work out the common mnemonic in the sentences below.



Suicidal Part Requires A God

Starter Pushing Ruined Another Gear

Some Parts Really Aren't Good

Splined Part, Really Awful Grade

Some Parts Rarely Are Good

Starting Produced Really Awful Grinding

Somebody Please Redesign Another Gear

Stupid Piece Really Annoys Guys (or Girls)



Why not add one yourself?

Sorry Scalyback - I've tried to avoid doing a reply but I can't hold back any longer!
'Acronym' is I think the word for this type of thing.

acronyms are covered by mnemonics but not vice versa.

An acronym is an abbreviation formed from the initial components in a phrase or a word.
A mnemonic is a learning technique that aids information retention, usually in an easily remembered phrase.
So these are mnemonics and the acronym of all of them is SPRAG (sort of)
The best thing to do with the whole issue is to forget about it and use the kick-starter! You wouldn't need the mnemonic then
