Does anyone using an android tablet find that the ad in the top right of this page obscures the text of the first post? If so any ideas as to how to be able to read all the text?

yes I sometimes get that on my Samsung tab its usually only on threads where someone has posted a photo in the thread and it stretches it slightly like l have just viewed the alpha camshaft thread it dose cover part of first post. But not this one you posted is OK normal size. Only way I could find was go into settings and tick auto fit pages I tried this it works but looks horrible as it looses some formatting other way is turn off view images temporary.

It's a Royal Enfield forum, it's supposed to do thing that you don't expect.
sometimes the opening times text at the bottom of the screen covers the post and I can't see the posted text.
Look on the bright side... At least nothing seems to have rattled loose and fallen off the forum yet!

I have same on my ipad, it seems to happen less if I open site in landscape rather than portrait. Seems to give more room sideways.

True it can be due to a photo further down the page which is a little larger in width than the maximum 700.
680 seems about right and doesn't push the entire thread further to the right and under the adverts..
Of course you may also find 9 out of 10 that the ancient mariner, ( he of the manic chevron application ) has posted and stretched the page into next week...
Bless him and his little green loco :0)

Scalyback, you're absolutely right. Since making the post the problem has all but disappeared. Uncannily like my pushrod tube oil leak which has seemed to have cured itself since I made a posting on that subject recently.
Royal Enfield don't make high-tech gadgets, but if they did-------

All those problems...plus....when using my old PC with 4:3 monitor. No problems using my laptop.
