Having just fitted a new primary chain to the Mk 1 Interceptor I had to go for a test run. Heading up the A5 near Paulerspury (just south of Towcester) I saw a Polychromatic Grey Bullet, probably a 350, about 1953-55 very nicely restored by the look of it. I'd have turned round but was a bit low on fuel. Are you on here or local? It would be good to meet up as I'm rebuilding a very similar 350 at the moment as readers of The Royal Enfield Magazine will know!

Hi Mark, keep a careful eye out for speed camera vans/cars/bikes in laybys on the A5 in that area - I was seriously nicked there a few years ago when riding my Guzzi (which you were originally responsible for me buying!).

Martin

Martin thanks, it's my home turf so I'm well aware of Northants' "Safety Camera Partnership" and their antics! Mind you, the A5 along there is regularly used by the weekend racers for high speed testing and fatalities are depressingly regular. A couple of years ago I was doing a photo shoot for a magazine on my Continental GT and doing high speed (ahem!) passes for the camera. The camera van was just out of range of the turn round point, must have pissed them off a treat!
