Apart from Steve's electrical gremlins, what a good day! It just reminded me what good fun riding Enfields in like-minded company can be. Despite our collective horsepower being about half that of a modern sportsbike, we made reasonable progress and my EFI thought it was a diesel, returning 92 mpg! I've only glanced at Gordon May's new book so far as I am in the middle of another book, but it looks as entertaining as 'Overland to India'. See you at Thursday's meeting!

Rumour has it that Paul went back today for more bargains as the outside traders paid people to take stuff so they could pack up and go home
