The Log Cabin diner at Knowstone on the North Devon Link Road (A361)all day Weds and Friday evenings. Mostly old buggers like us on Brit bikes and all very friendly and informal. If the sun is out there are usually several dozens of bikes. Perhaps we could arrange to meet up, there are a number of us on this forum in the area.

Hi A.L. EDDIE----------Oh, that's good news !!.............I'm hoping to be on the 1980 Triumph TR7 TIGER 750 BUT .... I've yet to fit a new 3-phase stator and rotor which, because it's an Export bike ( Came back from Denmark ) has the foot change lever on the L/H side.....which means I can't just remove the primary chaincase in one simple go -- Oh no !!--the L/H exhaust has to come off followed by the L/H riders foot rest which in turn is held onto the mainframe by a large diam. bolt which is screwed into the foot rest from THE INSIDE !! ( Just by the final drive chain !!)..........................And I haven't the right sized sockets for this job......BUT, I know a man who has !!.....SOOOOOoooo it's fingers crossed............The reserve machine is a 1975 Honda GL1000 Goldwing.............If all else fails it's a "In the Waggon R" job !!...............Have you a contact tel. No. I can reach you on during the week ??

Bugger all that, get yerself to Exmouth anyway. there a neat farm for the kiddies there, but hidden away there is the vintage vehicle and motorcycle collection, supposed to be the southwest's biggest!

I just paste some stuff...

World of Country Life is an award winning great day out for all the family, whatever the weather!
There are over 2 acres indoors with loads to do: crawl through the themed soft play areas, whizz round the mini electric go kart track, get up close to the animals in the nursery and petting centre, climb aboard the good ship Lady Suzannah in the pirate ship play area while mum and dad have a rest in the indoor beach hut, tuck into some tasty home cooked food in the brand new themed restaurant, watch the daily ferret racing show in the Barnyard Theatre, explore the past in the museum of farm machinery, take a trip down memory lane in the Victorian street, cruise around the south west’s largest collection of vintage vehicles in the Hall of Transport (and see vehicles that have appeared on TV in Downton Abbey, Mr Selfridge and Parade’s End) and view the famous Reg Imray motorcycle collection.

The fun doesn’t stop indoors: there’s plenty outside too! Hand feed the llama and deer on the Deer Train Safari, watch the daily falconry display from the fantastic Hawkridge Bird of Prey team, take a goat for a walk, shoot down the big blue slide, bounce on the trampolines, swing through the adventure playground or play a round of crazy golf.
There’s so much fun, come rain or shine: can you do it all in a day?!

See? plenty to have fun with!

Have a good holiday!

Colyford to seaton tramway is nice if you like old trams.

Taunton, bit of a way north east (well bishop's lydeard just outside) is the West Somerset railway. something like 18-20 miles of steam travel. Takes you to watchet (beautiful harbour town) then finishes at minehead (somerset's clacton on sea complete with butlin's)

Should keep you going!
