I am considering replacing points ignition with a Boyer digital ignition. I already have a power box, but do not use a battery. Has anyone tried this? I contacted Boyer who said that this combination should work, but any feedback from the forum would be useful.

I run exactly this combination on my 1996 Bullet with no problems except that, from cold, it can be a bit of a pig to start. It will start - definitely - but it takes a good few swings and a bit of faith.
