Hi guys----------On Sunday I was due to go for a ride with some of the lads........I arrived early at the local Petrol Station ( our meeting point) so filled up using my Debit Card in the machine at the pump.......then moved over to the parking area and waited for them to turn up-----------As they filled up from a different pump they had to go into the shop to pay-----------One of them came out and called me into the shop where the attendant ... a girl who knows me from my regular visits there.... said the machine hadn't taken the money from my card and had "flagged it up" as a non-paying, drive-away !!!....Fortunately we were able to sort it out there and then..............But if I hadn't stopped for a while OR if she hadn't been on duty, then I'd be getting a "Home Visit" from the local Constabulary when I had returned that afternoon !!!!!!

Which is why I always get a receipt from the machine.... If you have the receipt they've got no argument. Glad you got it sorted though. Who wants plod on the doorstep..?

I wouldn't trust these machines. A mate of mine had his card cloned after using one and his bank account emptied. It seems someone had fitted some sort of skimmer to the pump to read it's details. If the garage is open and time on your hands go in and pay is my advice.
