If anyone else would like to experience the fun of drag-racing at Santa Pod dragstrip (near Bedford) this spring and/or summer, I'll gladly arrange to ride my 612cc GT Cafe-Racer there for some RWYB (Run What You Brung) days. It's not too expensive to use the strip, and just spectating is also enjoyable.
My PB (personal best) ET (elapsed time) for the standing-start quarter-mile is just under 15 seconds, with terminal velocity around 90 mph (still in 4th of 5 gears). It's not about top speed, just acceleration over the distance. The drag-strip is where you can prove your performance claims!
