not many days now until i join the Russian bike fraternity Neval DNEPR WITH SIDE CAR this should be a lot of fun ,with a reliability factor similar to an enfield when it pops a Kubota 3 cylinder diesel with turbo will be fitted but not until it pops ive seen these bikes with 1000cc diesel engines in a the big knock rally and it always makes me laugh at them reversing around the field happy days

Paul these motors are easy to rebuild and are fairly robust, problem is when we get them they are pretty flogged out by the Russian army but once rebuilt and the problems ironed out they are pretty good

Bungalow, harley, gold rolex, sidecar bike and more, and you can still ride a bike, so I am wondering exactly what part of your body you got paid out for??? LOL!

Hi simon ,I got my left femour broken in 2 places the hip & just above the knee leaving me with a nice femour all nail from hip to knee the first one had to come out due to the bone not healing then I lost 30mm off the length of the leg leaving me with a nice limp also I had a broken left tibia I had post traumatic stress disorder from being conscious throughout the ordeal I then developed very high blood pressure as a result of the stress I live in constant pain kept in check by co codamol ,gabapentin, and maxitram, two types of blood pressure tablets, I can only work part time due to pain , so I have great deal of loss of earnings so theirs a brief resumae of my payout , it also took almost 3 years to settle, anyway if I go to a rally or on holiday I have my own pharmacy atb Paul

Ouch............sounds extremely nasty!! Have fun with the Dnepr - I ran one solo for a while and I still regret selling it. Treated with care, and properly maintained , they are rugged and long lived old beasts. And, with the right 'silencers' they can sound very good and mean............oops - maybe I am not allowed to say such anti social things!!

Paul - Not quite a lottery win, then......hope you enjoy the outfit. I can't ever think of Urals and the like, especially with a sidecar, without recalling vivid memories of seeing the Russian Sidecarcross Team competing way back when....they used heavy, outdated Ural outfits (when all the other teams had Norton Wasp rigs or similar), but their grit and determination on the track was unbelievable........
