I am considering this as a charity ride in may 2014. It is a ride of up to and possibly over 1000 miles in the weekend. I would ask forum members to assist in two ways firstly sponsorship in this case for the British Heart foundation as I have a dickie ticker myself and secondly to accompany me along sections of the route. Can I ask Mr H would you be prepared to sponsor the fuel costs for this event receipts provided and provide credit/debit card facilities for sponsorship. Many of your customers like myself have or are likely to have heart conditions in coming years and it would I am sure be shall we say politically correct to show your support in fact a hi vis vest with your company logo would be welcome.I must confess I will not be doing this on my enfield (Black Betty) as cruising speeds to complete would be too high so Dirty Gertie Guzzi would be employed.

Count me in Noël. I shall donate £100 to the charity. My operation for a leaky heart valve is on 16th of this month, a week tomorrow. How about starting from Hitchcocks on the Friday and finishing at MadMikes Gathering on the Sunday? I shall probably ride with you for fun on the Saturday.

Bugger! We will be elsewhere in the world the month of May otherwise we'd have been delighted to participate in some way. However when you have sorted out the details of your ride we can and will make a small donation for your chosen organisation.
