Had this half baked idea Bob Dylan rode
a Interceptor at his legendary accident
in July '66, but just put that myth to
rest a minute ago as it turned out to
been a Triumph T100. We all know about
Buddy Holly's Ariel Huntmaster Cyclone,
and Steve McQueen's Triumph Desert Sleds,
or going back Geogre Formby's Norton
Inter, or Lawrences's Brough. but just
who did ride a Redditch Interceptor, if
they ever did, who was a celebrity of
some sort in our time?

Actually, now you mention it,
Mark. we can make exceptions
if such goddesses merely sat
on our marque once. In fact, I
nonimate her as our patron saint.
Then I can rightly justify her
pix on my workshop wall in the
interests of historical accuracy.
Why not, Marilyn Monroe once
was posed on/in a '50 Singer 4B.

Man, our Jane deserves to be
our patron, riding her '48 220
cc Milwaukee Indian in winter
without gloves, Ya mean you
didn't notice that? Will write
about Mz Carey when I've rested
and had a drink, Gwilly

That wasn't the picture I was thinking of, that's a Milwaukee Indian she's on not a Redditch one. The picture of her on a Trailblazer (basically a 700cc Super Meteor) is much nicer and (ahem) shows her off in a nice warm sweater!
