Hi all,

Does any adaption need to be made to fit the oval airbox used on the 500 'classics', but fit onto a 500 'bullet'?

I like the shape of the oval air box over the rectangular one and wondered if it could be swapped.

Are there any engine differences in the two bikes?

Is the frame the same configuration, will it fit straight on?

If it is fitted what carb adjustments will need to be made if any? Will it offer more or less air intake?

I have a 2003 Indian import 500 Bullet with elec/start and kick option.

If it is not possible, no problem I just wondered.

I just noticed that the link I used directs to oval boxes made specifically for 50's bikes , but wouldn't one of those three be ok?
All the modern 'classics' have a similar looking filter box.
