Just been to my local harley shop and bought myself a sportster 1200 model 48 in pearlescent white can,t believe how much vat I've just paid that Cameron guy should have me up for a knighthood what with vat and stamp duty my large wallet is shrinking fast but hey go as they say you only live twice mr bond!!! Happy days paul

Sorry exile not being a pc know all I'm afraid pictures are out of the question although if you go on e bay there are quite a few sportster 48,s on there thanks norm I hope to hit the highway on Thursday then I will do a comprehensive review as you know test ridings not my bag I just buy what I like or make it suit my purpose mr hd has given me an accessories bible although all I need is petrol and a large wallet! Will be very careful with fuel Peter I put 1gallon in the Electra it ran but smelt like parrafin 2 gall petrol to 1 diesel interesting to say the least drained it off and mixed with copious amounts of veg oil hey presto fuel for the diesel bike happy days paul

not sure how it works over there but out here when you buy a HD after signing the paperwork, they introduce you to your personal "Chrome Consultant" who is able to supply many thousands of dollars in bling. Sometimes can double the price.

Let us know how you get on with peanut petrol tank - the reviews I have read suggest 48 owners will be well acquainted with petrol stations. My 61 Venom has a 4.25 gallon tank, good for 250 miles at a steady pace or enough to get me from Glasgow to Campbeltown and back. 52 years on and bike manufacturers seem to be going backwards in terms of fuel range and economy.
