There is an advertisment blocking a part of the text, making it hard to read; it`s about 50x100mm 4x2`. There doesn`t seem to be any way to move it or remove it, is this only on my screen?

Mine is fine Leon, it must be you but you probably can't read this anyway

It Happens to me too Leon, Mainly on my Linux home computer , especaily if I have Made the Print Bigger to Read.

I think (and I can be hard of thinking) it happens when an oversized photo appears in a post

LEON,--------- hold the Ctrl key down then rotate the mouse wheel.... It won't get rid of the advert but you might be able to view a bit better...As BEESABRYAN says it's usually when an oversized photo is posted ( Hey guys---keep it to 640 x 480 please)

There's a simple, reliable (and free) way to sort out ads - adblock plus.
I haven't had any advertising on my 'puter for years

Adblock won't remove this it is part of the site, I sometimes get it when using my tablet but viewing the same thread on my laptop it is OK.

Arr ha! the photo seems to be the cause; any thread with a photo has an ad, threads without a photo are clear. I might try some Whiteout on the screen. I`ll leave it to Alan to sort out.
