What a beautiful few days its been , I've covered about 100 miles in 2 days chugging around the quiet back country roads. Ended up at Old Warden today , my enfield got more attention than the planes that were brought out the hangers to be cleaned and flown.

The bullet didn't miss a beat and was in its glory PUT PUT PUT PUT PUTTING through the villages of beds and herts .

Best part was parking up and eating a delicious Cornish pasty out of a small village bakery.

HAPPY DAYS.

Who else been making best use of the weather ????

Fantastic afternoon yesterday here in East Yorkshire so out came the Old Lady (2000 Classic 500) for a 50mph plod along the back roads from Hull to York. Actually I thought I'd visit the Triumph dealer at York (A1 Moto) for a tyre kick around the showroom, but when I got there at 2:45pm they'd shut up shop. So I phutt phutted very gradually back to Hull via Stamford Bridge (of battle fame - not football), Garrowby Hill, and a dozen other delightful villages and back lanes. Waved to a guy on a 650 BSA and another on a Matchbox single, and also a chap in a vintage MG open-top. In my book these are golden days, which make me glad to be alive, in England, in July, riding a 'big single', in the sunshine. Perfect.

Must admit, I've only had my 06 Indian Bullet 500 for less than three weeks and only had two short trips on it. This afternoon I was reading these posts and thought I have just got to get out on the bike. So fired her up and went for a troll round the New Forest taking in Beaulieu, Brockenhust and Lyndhurst. I have had 10 bikes, mostly Yamahas, and still have my Fazer8 which I bought in November last year. I have had great fun on all of them, I still love the Fazer8, but I have to say that this afternoon was one of the nicest rides I have had. There is just something about bumbling along on a 500 single, cranking if up to 60mph and planning an overtake which seems to go on forever. I had a really good ride, 32 miles in about an hour, glorious. I am so glad I bought it.
