Hello All,

Links below are to 3 YouTube videos from my recent trip to the Mosten MC Engelsk Traef ‘Classic Dragrace’ (actually an eighth-mile sprint) event, held in Northern Jutland, Denmark:-

• This one initially shows an impatient bloke (bloody queue jumper!) from the next class being sent back by the start-line marshal so that I could make my first run: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BS9mHPDjLHs

• This one initially shows my Danish host (aka “mad Ivan Rasmussen”), who won Second Prize, stalling his speedway-engined racebike just before I made my final run: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaZ7OnquFjI

• My rather smart Third Prize Trophy (milled alloy billet with riveted brass plaque) incorporated a 40-year old KLG spark plug which, amazingly, was the correct fitment for my Bullet - so I fitted it and used it to ride home: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHZuv8PU94o

I’m pleased to report the Bullet ran faultlessly over the 918 miles ridden on this trip, consuming almost no engine oil and leaking none whatsoever. The only problem was some difficulty kick-starting it when fully loaded, due to the RH pannier sticking out into the space where I would normally stand, plus of course my recently acquired hernia didn't help!

I took some Marmite XO with me, and challenged the numerous Mosten MC campers to try it at the buffet breakfast on the Saturday and Sunday, but only a few of them were brave enough to try it - the Vikings are evidently not as bold as they once were!

Regards,

Martin Churchill (aka ‘Strapman’)

Hi guys and "Well done!" that man......Would you give us some of the Tech. details please ?.. I see you red-lined at what, --- 6,250 RPM ?? so that's a standard bottom end and piston I take it ?? It's nice to get the occasional posting that just says}--- "All's well with my bike" and here it is in action....I wish more people on here would make use of You-tube and the various photo hosting services when trying to describe their bike's ailments....Can you recommend the ferry company at all ??...Cheers----

Hello Martin, your name crops up from time to time whenever 612's are mentioned! I know you have run your 612 successfully for a number of years, including track days and sprints. Presumably these clips are that very same 612 in action? I built mine last year and am always on the lookout for hints and tips from others who have gone down that same route. If you read the recent post "612 on Dyno", you will see details about my own bike in that discussion and I would welcome your opinion/comment on my experiences so far. Any details you might care to divulge about your own engine (particularly your settings compared to mine) would be much appreciated. Has the 612 been a good journey for you? Thanks!
