Yesterday, My Lightning had it's MOT. It passed OK, but had one Advisory. That was the front brake cable was getting ratty. Well, since it was the original factory fitted cable, I wasn't all that surprised (It had lasted 13 years!). Anyhoo, it was straight onto our Hosts for a new one. Our Hosts didn't list the front brake cable for a Lightning, so I used the Enquiry form to see if they had one (I quoted the part number from my Spares List). A few minutes later, I got the E-Mail back saying they had one. I punched in the Part Number into the search engine and it came up with a front brake cable for a Machismo. Now, a Machismo has a front disc brake. I ordered the part anyway, adding in the comments section that I wanted the part for a Lightning, but the description for the part was for a disc braked Machismo. Two minutes later, our Hosts phoned me to confirm the part that I wanted. I gave the relevent confirmation. Today, the part arrived. It was in the factory packaging and the label had "Cable Lightning" and the correct part number upon it. Now that's what I call service!
