Road tax exemption extended

Good news in todays budget for anyone with a 1974 bike. The previous 1973 cut off for a free disc is being extended. Hopefully this will be a rolling exemption.-

Oops, I meant of course 1973 instead of 1972. Those will have to wait another year!

all motorbikes should be on free road tax as some cars are free and some only pay £25 per annum its a rip off i,m affraid give with one hand take away with the other

Our mini diesel is £20 per annum.
The answer is to go for a pre 1960 machine - no tax, no MOT costs.
I have just bought a 1952 Sunbeam S8 and it is much cheaper to run and insure than the Enfield.

nice 1 sofia the sunbeam s8 keep us informed i,m a fan of the s8 myself ,its a pitty that they don,t bring motorcycle taxation inline with new cars but then again are mag or the bmf banging this drum in parliament i think not its a ripoff but anyway i,m not tight much so i,ll keep on paying ,going off thread a wee bit my sp30 speeding conviction has just put my insurance for the motor up £59 so i can,t wait for my bike insurance to land!!atb paul.
