So Watsonian Squire are no longer the UK distributors, then. Financial calamity of opportunity to improve? They've always seemed ok whenever I've poked my nose in down there, but having spoken to an ex-RE dealer they are a rum bunch to deal with & don't listen to dealer feedback he claimed. Who know? What will the future hold, I wonder? Hmmmm

Hmmmm? Very iffy!!

So, according to Watsonian they want to "concentrate on the production of sidecar and luggage trailers, as well as a newly-acquired distribution deal for Kuberg electric trials bikes".

When did you last speak to someone who bought a Watsonian sidecar?? Surely the main-stay of the Watsonian business is/was the RE distributorship?? I have visited Watsonian a couple of times over the last few years and i have say I got the impression of a business very much living in the past.

Whilst I hope our fabulous brand never goes the way of Harley Davidson, the lack of brand development in terms of merchandising awareness etc., is surely a missed opportunity!

The writing was on the wall when they stopped selling the original type Bullet and the prices shot up with the introduction of the unit construction models.

I must agree John. The old classics were a bit of a bargain even if they often needed a bit of work to make them work properly. The new EFIs have a lot more competition at the price.

Actually, not much competition AT the price but close enough to think again.

Well After That rather Basic One Liner on MCN, I Checked The Watsoinan British site & The (INDIA) Home RE site and No mention of any thing??

As Long As Mr H' continues I feel pretty safe, But as said IF I had Just Bought a New RE Well that would Be differnt...

Perhaps they Might Bring back the Old Iron engine? NO ...Well Jawa did with there Classic & Chang Jiang are Still doing (In Limited Numbers)

Long Live Hitchcocks....(Unless There The NEW Importer??)
