Sorry to hear your plight Paul, think about us we often wait 12 days for our bits, I'm waiting on my H4 headlight globes and I just read the invoice and it states up to 25 days for delivery

Paul - I have also noticed a huge difference between "the good old days" not too long ago when you ordered in the morning and very often our hosts would have the parcel with you either the next day or the day after... but to be honest Royal Mail ain't that bad (compared to service in other countries) - what will it be like when the police set up shop in our Post Offices?

I ordered a new clutch plate set on 21.12.12. Nothing showed, and Hitchcocks sent out a new set. We went round the local businesses to check if they had received them in error, and I went to the local sorting office to ask if they had a lone parcel. Last week two packages arrived on the same day. The first one had the wrong postcode with one number out (my fault) the second one arrived a few days later. The key point is both arrived, and Hitchcocks was happy to send the second set on trust. I think that is excellent. I posted the first lot back to them at my expense. Generally Royal Mail delivers, and all other parts have arrived the next day.

Hi, grumpa -
Got those bits yet ?.....Generalising here, but I have to say, having ordered bike bits from a variety of sources over the last several years, that Hitchcocks average order turnaround makes the others look like a bunch of incompetent amateurs......Hope this helps....

hi john ,got my bits from the sorting office this morning !!the parts are fitted and i quote the 4 speed flex mod does what it says on the tin although my cover had very little flex being a later 1 ,can,t wait for the decapitated finger to mend then i can get on with the main bussiness riding my 2 beloved enfields ,i must state that mr h can be held in no way responcible for royal mails shortcommings ,and once again the parts supplied were of good quality although the surface in the gearbox mod had been filed and was not very level i would have thought a milling machine would have made a better job although this is not a moan just an engineers critical eye at the end of the day well done to mr h for bringing this mod to the market for the masses he should be marketing it in india he,d make a fortune with all the flexy gearbox covers out there ,i know 1 or 2 who have fitted redditch covers as a fix although the casings don,t completely match up this is the perfect solution ,thankyou and goodnight atb very happy ungrumpy 12 paul.
