are we all sheep? anybody who posts any opinions or views on this forum or dares to question anything that our fine hosts do ,are always whipped into shape by the fan club ,i must say this ,iam a fan ,i use our hosts services regular ,i praise when praise is due ,i also grumble if parts ,service are incorrect or prices are overly steep ,these are my opinions, remember the old saying the customer is always right !!!if my views upset you don,t read them!!i try to be constructive ,i know quite a few people in this enfield game ,it would be a poor world if we all thought the same things ,i have had banter on this forum with mr hitchcock and he took my views in a lighthearted manner ,i know he is in business to make money thats why businesses opperate ,i will continue to spend my money with him and air my opinions when i feel i need to .atb paul.

It's always been difficult to express an opinion on here without being sent to Coventry, as I have found out plenty of times, still, don't stop Grunda, if you have something to say then just say it, don't let the misery brigade stop you, although I must admit most of the grumpy ones seem to have retreated into the shadows since we had to start logging in.
Having said all that I miss the arguing, it was at times quite entertaining to read, and even fun to participate...
Just enjoy the ride (and having your say)..

For Hitchcock's running this forum is enlightened self interest. It enhances the experience of owning, maintaining, repairing and customizing our bikes, which I am sure is good for business! So if, sometimes, amongst the praise for our hosts is the odd criticism, or perhaps a mention of a product or service supplied by someone else, I hope they will accept it as honest discussion.

Bertie, a lot of the missery was justified a few years back due to the number of engine failures that were happening, particularly out here, seemed like the factory must have been sending all the rejects here. I can't recall the last engine failure we have had but at one stage we were having an engine meltdown every few weeks. Maybe out here we are just riding them less these days.

Be Fair,
I've spent thousands on enfield repairs and mods with Hitchcocks and had maybe had 2 returns of faulty items which were replaced without arguement although I did have to foot extra postage on returns. Rented out helicoil kit for sump plug (great trust in user and appreciated, no other bike service workshop would lend tools). Stop moaning and be glad someone is servicing a very limited market. You get what you pay for "there are no bargains"

this is quite entertaining baa,a comment you get what you pay for ,if its cheap its usually crap, but sometimes it can be exspensive and crap or poor quality anyway i,m with everybody on this thread baa,the main problem is that some suppliers not particularly our host get complacent having a monopoly (i know i work for an engineering firm who have a monopoly on a product we manufacture)as i said in a previous post ,if i want it quick its hitchcocks all the way baa if not i have frequently used indian suppliers on e bay and have never had any problems with them baa !!atb paul.

Sorry chaps, but with crimble just around the corner i just gotta say - BAAA Humbug!

Also I have to agree with the sentiment that suppliers are happy to get occasional criticism, it does point out to them where improvements are needed. Personally I get a bit peeved at some of our hosts prices but that perceived high price also pays for superb service, quality parts and just as importantly, employment for people so I'm happy to pay. Moreover I don't even have an Enfield anymore but many parts available from Hitchcocks also fit my old Triumph so I'll continue to shop here.

With all the whingeing I read on here, I wonder how we ever got through the war! Ye Gods, there's twenty two opinions on whether one can put petrol in a diesel jerry can!!
