Hi guys. I had always wanted a bullet but was always held back by sheer lack of any mechanical ability so was advised to stay clear as i would possibly be off the road more than i was on.
So, when the meteor was launched to rave reviews my interest was peaked once again.
Although I have a harley in the garage for covering distance, curiosity led me to the dealership for a test ride.
I actually rode all the enfield 350 and 411 range but I just loved the meteor for its riding position and Incredible value for money. Its the perfect day to day and all year bike for me.
Never having owned a bullet I think I now know why they have such a following if their charm and rideability is anything like the meteor.
100 miles and two days into ownership, I can't stay off of it and find myself just wanting to ride purely for pleasure and relaxation, something I haven't experienced for a long time.
Of course, I'm riding roughly in line with the break in advice so looking forward to feeling it loosen up a little. I have purchased a new silencer, fuel x Pro, and dna filter and plate as well as a tail tidy, all of which are going on after the 300 mile service. I'm not expecting it to make massive leap in performance at all, just would like to get and keep the engine running to something nearer its true potential, even if its just a couple of figures. Not that I'm unhappy in anyway with its current performance.
What a wonderful little bike. Looking forward to 000'S of miles of trouble free easy riding and a few adventures along the way.
Cheers
Pat
