Well...I finally did it. Over the weekend I became a Guzzisto...I bought a brand-new 2012 V7 Stone. The part that killed me was having to sell the Bullet to do it - BUT - as a resident of a North London terrace sans garage I had to make an Agonizing Decision. The fact that I am now having to go further afield for "work" had a lot to do with it as well, I needed something more modern and motorway-friendly, but with a classic-type engine config, and I have always lusted after a Guzzi. In the ideal world I would have kept both V7 and Bullet. Sadly neither finances nor space allowed. I have to say that the Guzzi is everything I had ever expected, faster, but with that "classic" V-twin burble and look. The suspension and gearbox (at least whilst running in) are strangely similar in feel to the Bullet! My thanks are due to all those on the Forum who have helped and supported me over my years of Bullet ownership, answering my sometimes (or should I say often) asinine questions. I don't doubt I will be asking similar questions of the Guzzi forum....I will pop in from time to time to see how things are going. There will always be a place in my heart for the Bullet, and if one day I become rich...a 350 Classic may well join the V7! Cheers to all, TimG

I can understand, always fancied a Guzzi myself but I can't justify two bikes. I saw your previous posts and admit to having a long hard look at the Guzzi website! Keep in touch with the forum and have a safe and enjoyable time with the V twin.

Hi TIM---- congrats. matey !! I'm green with envy. Yes, their gearbox ---and indeed the whole riding style is very similar to the Bullet---- take your time with the change (clunk!!)---false neutral--(clunk again) ---- and let the TORQUE do the work !!----With my 1100i CALI it was a joy exiting a roundabout as the engine reaction would dig the rear wheel hard into the tarmac as you cranked it over and gunned the engine for all it was worth !! BLISS !! Take care---Ride Safe !! Regards from }--- Alan R

Congratulations Tim and I certainly hope you will both be very happy together for many years. If my constant companion Arthur Itis would allow I'd definately be in the market for a V7 Racer. I think all the modern Guzzi range of V Twins are fabulous bikes. Good luck, and do please pop in and let us all know how you two are getting along.
