How old is a new bike?

I know that the date of registration of a new bike and the actual manufacture date can be a difference.I am wondering with the 2 year COVID lockdown and the RE plant also being shutdown for a period with bikes in storage just how old is that 2022 registration is.

The numbers and letter on the frame vin plate will tell you when the frame was made and the numbers and letters on the engine will tell you when it was made.

In my case 46 years old. I recently bought a 1976 Yam DT400 imported from the States.
This month was the "first" registration...........in the UK !!
