The trouble with the concept is that nobody so far, to the best of my knowledge, has managed to manufacture a sufficiently durable gorbal pin to allow the principle to work effectively. W B Charnock, as you will be aware, did a lot of gorbal pin research between the wars but never came near to one that would work for any length of time.

That system is flawed, it will never work without a longitudally tuned glockenspiel.

Yeah - right on! I had one on my 350 Bullet but it didn't work so I replaced it with Nitrous Oxide. It still doesn't go any faster but at least it puts a smile on my face!! (Laughing gas, right?). Time for a brew...
