Given that not receiving any reply to a question can feel a bit lonesome I decided to do a search... Using my search engine of choice... Ecosia - 'plant trees while you search and reduce your carbon footprint' I quickly found an excellent website. DeRivaz Ives - on these machines. Can't seem to get a link for it but just put in' Royal Enfield 535 Continental GtT production numbers. '
Around 4000 built according to them.

Oooh time to stock up on one of each colour! Kidding aside, even though I never actually bought one, a test ride on a 535 when it came out was what actually got me into Enfield in the first place so they have a place dear to my heart. I first bought a 2008 efi chrome tank B5 (I think!) and now have a Himalayan and a 2017 Classic 500 chrome.
IMO the 535 was the first 'modern' Enfield even though it used a pretty crude, by modern standards, motor.

I'd place it in the same category as a Francis Barnett Plover.
