That was cured a very long time ago. (1982) (Surprised the mud has stuck for this long.)

Rats are still thought of as bad because of the Black Plague and that was the 14th century! ;)
And it wasn’t rats!
Yes, my chain has been done.
It’s often the first comment about the CX. Like the chocolate cams on many early Hondas; they should have run the cams in bearings of any type.

Due to Brexit causing a long delivery delay for a spare part I need for the BMW K75S and side car, I may have to use the Honda CX500 Custom and sidecar to get to a motorcycle rally 250 miles away at the end of August. (The M5 seems to be all uphill going North on the CX500.)

I PXd them, so they aren't mine anymore.

However, Charlie specialises in Classic Hondas and takes other bikes in when dealing.
His prices are always superb. Many dealers charge cheeky prices for theirs. Look through any magazine, website etc.
I won't name some of them but they want stupid money for some bikes. Charlie prices to sell.

I emailed him about something else and said I thought he'd ask at least £3000, but as he said and had said to me at the time, he is not a dealer in newer bikes, so he priced it to take into account that he cannot provide a normal dealer back up.

He's always been very honest with his reviews and you don't but a 40 year old bike without knowing you may need to tinker. Some people may worry about buying a bike with limited warranty, that is up to them. Charlie describes a bike, you can test it, ride it and if unhappy, walk away.
