WHO'S ON SHOW?

My Electra X has reached the photo gallery - second photo on Page 1 of Customer Enfields - anyone else got their bike posted? It would be good to see the bikes we all read about!
The next photo is my brother and me with rented bikes in the Lake District - the trip that started it all for me......

p.s. for any 'polishers' out there, have you tried Turtle Wax Ice? I find it really good, and it can be used on chrome and plastic parts too, so it's easy to get an all over shine. Very quick and easy to use....

Hi Alex, seeing nobody bothered to acknowledge your post I will, my ElectraX is on page 5 , hadn't seen it there before, but that pic is before the crossbred motor was fitted. Not a particulary good pic but you can see there's not a lot to see on it that is Electra. Might try getting one of the crossbred fitted

I see what you mean - I looked at fitting a single seat on my Electra, but it looked as if all the electrics would be exposed, and I basically "chickened out". I like the look though.
My wife is over your way - in New Zealand visiting our daughter (and grandchildren) in Pukekohe, south of Auckland, then heading for Sydney to see her aunt and cousins, meeting up with her sister who's had a couple of weeks there, then heading home.
I've been working.......

Norm - just looked at your photo again - is that a breather extension pipe I can see?
I'm guessing you got rid of the 'oil can' - where does the breather exit, and how much oil do you see there?
It's something I looked at over the winter, and although I did the often suggested pipe diversion over the frame, to try to avoid the condensation 'mayonnaise', I'm still interested in alternatives!

Alex, mines page one, sixteen in, the black 53 (ish) bullet. Looks a bit different know I've ditched ther tea caddy and fitted a bellmouth

Hi Alex,
That photo must be a couple of years ago And I can't really remember with the breather, had many changes, but I think in the photo I had the under barrel breather which I drilled out years ago when the motor failed the first time , that rose up to a tee which then allowed any carried over oil to drain back into the oil tank fitting and then the breather rose up under the seat with a car PCV valve in the line and the breather ended up at the number plate. For a while I had a bottle attatched to the end of the pipe so I could measure the amount of carried over mist. It didn't amount to much but eventually the big end failed so I ended up building the crossbred and that is running well

Chris, nice looking bike with that single seat look that I like, but haven't achieved yet - of course, 1953 was a good year for most things.....

2nd photo page 4 (500 bullet ~ Holger Schulze) I just think the detail and work gone into that bike is just amazing. Is it polished nickle plate against chrome? just stunning. Wish we could see left side primary view. Some people are just darned clever. gwilly.

MIke, that would be just like it - Carole and Nick have just moved from Auckland (better schools for my grandchildren - it's the same all over the world!), and although I knew there was a race track there, I didn't really know much else.
I had Nick and my grand-daughter up to Knockhill here is Scotland for club motorcycle racing last summer, but classic racing in the sun would have been great - maybe I'll get to visit next time!
Page 4, second bike does looks amazing, although maybe not our more usual classic look! There's room for all tastes though, isn't there?
