With the help of some parts bought from Hitchcocks, some for other models and adapted and others improvised, I was able to fully rebuild the engine for this already partially restored machine, whose engine had not been rebuilt too well previously.
Here are two clips, showing the first, failed attempt at starting and the more successful second attempt from a short while later.

Hi Graham, most of my work has been the full stripping and rebuilding of the engine, after the bike was largely 'restored' previously, with the paint work done and refurbished top ends placed on a pretty rotten bottom end. most of the parts I needed came from Hitchcocks, although another set of flywheels [one was cracked] were bought privately, thanks to MR H putting me in touch with their owner. Some parts were improvised by using close matches, such as one of the main bearings [drive side] and a drive side mainshaft for a Model J worked fine as a replacement. I am now getting the electrics knocked into shape [I hope!].
