A terrible, tragic event. It illustrates how rapidly what should be (regretfully) a fairly routine Police situation can turn bad very quickly. I worked very closely alongside members of two Midlands police forces a few years ago and despite the unfair bad press our police in general often receive, I've always admired those who make it their career.
