Hi all, Bullet on Sorn for obviousreasons, but I was wondering if there is a recommended insurer for Enfields. I am with RH specialist insurance but they have hiked the premium to nearly £200. Any suggestions welcome when income has stopped!
Best regards to all and cant wait until roads are open.

I fear all premiums will rise as the insurance industry recovers losses from Coronavirus.

You could ask for "laid up" cover, which some companies will do.

However, I rang my insurer to inform them my car was going on SORN they advised me to keep the policy (fully comp) as it was because the difference in cost would be about the same as the admin charge they require to reinstate the policy when I put it back on the road.

Others may differ; my advice when dealing with insurers is to ask the company themselves and don't rely on information gleaned on a forum. ;)

My insurance on the bikes runs out on the fourth I'm not sure about renewing yet, but will I have funds when this is all over ?

OP asked about who to try I'm with Carol Nash and have been for years, they seem competitive for the bike's I have, where I live and my age
They could be worth a try for full on customs I always suggest Adrian Flux

Take care all Dai

Thank you very much for the replies. I was mulling over the point of not bothering about insurance when the bike is on SORN. Will probably do that but the point made about admin costs for changing is well made. Useful to know about Adrian Flux, thank you and best wishes

Peter James has had my bike insurance these past years, see no need to punt about when they take about a ton for three bikes fully comp - 1992 Bullet 500. BSA Flash comb, BSA 1954 Winged Wheel.
I am 78 going on 79 with no claims, clean licence no felonious convictions, living East Midlands.
I'm looking forward to early June when I may be released from home confinement and the Bullet may then get it's second outing of 2020 :)
