Mr H Please please please. leave it alone.I am sick of every day dealing with software upgrades. All these computer geeks want to do, is fix things that they pretend are broke. And Leon, I hand write letters with a fountain pen loaded with ink. Oh and I ride a Royal Enfield, maintained with parts from our host.

If we were to edit our postings, we may change or delete things that would make some of the already posted replies look silly or not make sense. Paragrapshs would be nice though!

Scaly, time out thing? What time out thing? Perhaps you are writing too long a posting? I have never come across any time out "thing"! We are not all computer "geeks", we shouldn't have to learn code just to write a simple posting to a site such as this.
I temember when my wife went to a computer course for her job, when we first bought computers, there was a woman there who would blast through a piece of text in seconds flat, then stand up and stretch her fingers and back etc., whilst Annette was finishing her excercise, then have to go back and correct her spelling and punctuation, taking the same time in total as Annette! I still stand by what I wrote, read it through before posting. I Am thankfull for the spell check on my tablet and computer, but they are not fail safe! And I tend to use my tablet more than my computer, especialy for things like this. (I am writing this in our hotel room in Sorento)

Marsie things are going to turn ugly out here for people who still write letters, Aus Post is putting the price of a stamp up to a dollar and only a delivery 3 days a week, letters are on the way out I'm afraid and as for your fountain pen, I'm surprised by the fact you could still buy ink

I wouldn't want our chum Scalyback to have to limit the length of his posts. Perhaps it's only on computer, this time out thing,and doesn't happen on tablet. It's never happened on my tablet, and lord knows I take my time reading things back.

To second Dennis C's post :- The time out, yes what a pain in the a**e that is, try to leave a good comprehensive reply and do so at your peril spend ages typing then try to post only to be told to log in, when this is done all you hard work is gone. On several occasions I have just dropped it and not bothered trying again. (Hope you don't mind, Dennis - I've copied some of your text to avoid the aforementioned problem)

The system times you out after a period of time.



If you go read a load of posts, then do a long reply, sometimes stopping to go check your facts are correct, then the system times you out.



You press POST and get the login screen again, whilst your post goes down the drain.



(Always remember to copy your text just before clicking on POST, that way, you don't lose it if you have to log on again.)

I only did a post a few days ago on coloured text and stuff.

It is a pain for new guys, trying to load photos. But at least the board works and is relatively successful!
