Greetings,
Presently I call my bikes "The 06" (2006 ElectraX) and the "GT" (2014 Continental). I also have a Chinese Chang Jiang which I refer to as the "Chang".
While I am here I have to ask, do any of you know anyone with a silver colored bullet, and if so, is it called the "Silver Bullet"?

My silver bullet was named Ethel. I say was because I not-so-long-ago sold her on to someone who spent thousands on go-faster bits and then trashed the motor actually trying to make her go faster.

Well, My 2002 iron barrel is "Ollie" because I had such a difficult time identifying the color to touch up with, it's kind of a shiny "olive drab" color. turns out to be Athena gray but...too late, the name stuck, "Ollie" for olive drab.
My 2012 EFI isn't named yet, I've not even cussed it yet so I don't even know its' gender.

I don't give them names because they are not alive. But they do have personality and when we've had a particularly good ride I like to congratulate them on how well they did! On a slightly different subject, when I go to Autojumbles my wife always asks if I found any useful OBOOMs which apparently means Oily Bits Of Old Motorcycle! REgards, Mark

Can't say I follow the reasoning.

railway engines (even new ones) have names, as do some large road junctions, mines, Steam road engines, Canal narrow boats, even the Anderson boat lift!


why deny a motorcycle a name just because it is mechanical?
