Our Hosts sell new repro ones. I'm not sure if they appear in the online parts books so you might have to make a call.

Interesting.......Hitchcocks are working out the manufacturing process for the fairing and don't have prices yet. It'll take 6 months before they have them. Then you also need the mudguard and presuambly a respray?

I can't imagine it'll be cheap. Would it be worth it though?

I suppose it depends what you want to do. If you tour then it's worth it on a bigger bike, say 500 Bullet or Twin but probably not on the 350. On the other hand Bob Murdoch (see article in current Gun magazine or Real Classic) commutes on an Airflow Crusader and loves it. So much in fact he bought a spare fairing from me! In Bob's case the bike came with fairing fitted so he didn't have to weigh up the cost. I'd get the bike on the road first!

Hi Simon Scalyback,

If you look closely, the exhaust pipe is also different on the Airflow, it's swept to clear the fairing then kinked back up to line up with the silencer.

When I restored my 1958 Small Frame Meteor Minor in 1992, I welded two 5/16" nuts to the headstock so I could fit a 250 Airflow fairing (courtesy of Steve Mayhew) later if desired, I never did fit it and it's still in the loft!
I have seen quite a few Airflow pipes fitted to naked bikes!

OK Tangle, you've loaded the money pistol, take aim, fire........
Seriously, I think you will be amazed just how much you can spend on
these old heaps at today's spares prices ! And don't ask me how I know......
You need to consider HOW much (and how much you are prepared to lose) before
getting in too deep.

Yes, I can see that it'll be very easy to spend a lot more than the bike is worth. I think what I'll do first is the minimum I can to get the bike capable of running round the block.

After that I'll take stock and consider what I need to do to make it look good too.
