Time is the eternal healer eh?
Our Spotty-dog (her name was picked out of a hat by our neice, Courtney all those years ago!) was blind as a bat & deaf as a post - We had to carry her down the stairs after a few heart-stopping moments at the top!
She used to get around quite literally, by following her nose.
Deaf as she was though, she could still here a biscuit wrapper at 20 paces! AND she could find her way to the holder of said biscuits!
We still have our other dog Jack (I call him buster as in, "....what's up buster?".....He's a 6 year old typical JRT who was mothered by our Spot when we got him at 10 weeks old. He's wandering around like a lost sheep at the moment. I wish I could tell him what's happened but I don't speak Jack Russell & he thinks he's a Rottweiller anyway!
Many thanks for your kind words everybody - they are much appreciated I assure you!
